Add your leave to a calendar

Hashoff can keep a calendar up to date with your approved leave and the public holidays you observe. You subscribe once. New leave shows up on its own, and cancelled leave drops off.

Get the feed address

  1. Open My leave and press Calendar feed.
  2. Press Copy. That address is yours alone.

Do not forward it. Anyone with the link can see your leave. Pending requests are not included — only leave that has been approved.

Google Calendar

  1. On a computer, open Google Calendar. The phone app cannot add a calendar from a link.
  2. On the left, next to Other calendars, press the plus, then From URL.
  3. Paste the feed address and press Add calendar. It appears under Other calendars.

Pressing Add to Google Calendar in Hashoff opens that From URL screen for you. Google can take a few hours before a new day of leave shows up.

Apple Calendar

  1. On a Mac, press Apple Calendar in Hashoff. Calendar opens with the address already filled in. Or choose File, then New Calendar Subscription, and paste it yourself.
  2. Name it, pick a colour, and set Auto-refresh to Every day or Every hour.
  3. Under Location, choose iCloud if you also want it on your iPhone. On My Mac keeps it on that computer only.

On an iPhone, the same Apple Calendar button opens the subscribe sheet in the Calendar app.

Outlook

  1. Copy the feed address. Use the https one from the dialog, not a webcal link.
  2. Open Outlook on the web, go to Calendar, and press Add calendar.
  3. Choose Subscribe from web, paste the address, and press Import.

Outlook on the web is the reliable way to add it. The desktop app sometimes refuses a feed that the web app accepts. Updates can take up to a day.
